This is the official website of Paani Foundation, Karhati.
Paani Foundation is a not for profit organisation founded by Indian Bollywood actor Aamir khan and his wife Kiran Rao. It is a movement by people against drought. They organize the water cup competition every year. Drought hit villages in Maharashtra participate in the competition. Our village Karhati is participating in 2019 water cup competition. Our journey into Water Cup 2019 started by making an unanimous resolution to participate in Water Cup competition, in Annual Villagers Meet on 26th January 2019 (Republic Day of India).
We have set up core committee to manage the water cup plan. You can see photos and videos of our work on this website.
